Welcome to the old town of Tübingen, city of flowers!
For some visitors, it is love at first sight. Not many cities welcome their guests with such an enchanting view. The historic Neckarfront is a selfie hotspot and an invitation. Behind it lies a beautiful half-timbered old town with a total of 350 cultural monuments, romantic squares, winding alleys, unusual shops and cozy cafes.
“Tübingen has no university. Tübingen is a university,” the great rhetorician Walter Jens once claimed. And he is right. At every turn in the old town you will come across venerable buildings where the Alma Mater began, such as the Old Aula or the Burse, as well as institutes where teaching and research are carried out every day.

You can’t like Reutlingen. You can only love it.
Do as Sierra does: On Saturdays, you can travel into the city for free using public transport – and you’ll be even more mobile with the new inner-city ring bus. And if you need a car, you can park for free in the city’s underground car parks for the second hour. Sierra isn’t the only one who has a good laugh. So: get off the sofa and into the city.
